Particularly in his handling of the character's dramatic metamorphosis, Aaron Eckhart's performance of Harvey Dent/Two- Face is a master class in character acting. Although the visual effects crew deserves great credit for producing the awful facial injuries of the character, Eckhart's portrayal laid the groundwork that made the monster very horrifying. Especially remarkable was his ability to capture the psychological change from Gotham's "White Knight" to a vindictive villain.
