The veterinarian clinic stands for a required but sometimes hated part of good pet ownership. Although we know our dear animals depend on frequent check-ups and medical treatment, convincing them of this need presents a somewhat different difficulty. Like young children seeing a doctor, our animal friends often show amazing ingenuity in their attempts to evade medical attention. This specific cat showed their opposition to veterinary treatment in a wonderfully failed yet very funny way. The cat chose what they apparently thought to be a clever hiding place in the sink of the examination room instead of trying a bold escape from the clinic. Sadly for our feline companion, the glaring white porcelain sink turned out to be maybe one of the least efficient hiding places imaginable, resulting in a scene that aptly captures the often illogical but always interesting character of cat behaviour. This already funny scenario gains further comedy from the contrast between the cat's deliberate attempt at concealment and the clear sight of their selected position.
