We simply had to add this picture of a baby cow with a large heart on its head. Apart from a tiny white spot on top of its head resembling a heart, the calf is black everywhere. It looks like a purposeful embellishment rather than a natural occurrence as the marking is exactly symmetrical and positioned squarely in the middle of the calf's forehead. This fella doesn't really look like he was born some years ago. Based on its size and look, it's most likely just a few weeks old—pretty young. Many farm visitors and social media users have been drawn to the strikingly visual impact created by the heart-shaped marking against the dark coat of the calf. Certain folks related their own tales of growing up with cows and calves whenever this picture was uploaded. Their common theme was how curious and fun-loving cows can be, which isn't what most people consider when they think of cattle but it's real. This distinctive mark reminds us of the soft and loving character of these sometimes misinterpreted animals as well as of the ability of nature to produce precisely formed symbols with great significance for humans.
